Job Description

Key Responsibilities: a) Product Stewardship ?Develop sustainable product strategies that align with the luxury brand's sustainability vision & goals. ?Integrating sustainable practices into the product lifecycle, from design and sourcing to production and post-consumer care. ?Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure sustainable materials, ethical procurement, production process, logistics etc. ?Drive Certifications like Positive luxury (Butterfly), Cradle to Cradle - C2C, Cruelty-Free products, PETA, Eco-cert, GOTS and other certifications as suitable to Luxury retail. ?Drive traceability & digital product passport as per emerging needs for ESG norms and compliance ?Ensure safer products and reduced chemical footprint in dyeing, printing, finishing etc through MRSL Compliance and ZDHC, Blue-sign certifications. b)Sustainable Packaging Material ?Packaging Material standardization & Optimization to reduce the usages of Pollutant Materials. ?Explore option for alternative materials and sustainable packaging process ?Development & implementation of Sustainable packaging materials as per Plastic Waste Management Rule and EPR compliance c)Supply Chain Sustainability ?Develop artisans, clusters & promote sustainable livelihood ?Ensure responsible and ethical business practices within supply chain through Vendor social compliance audits at suppliers, artisans, cluster level & home-based workers. ?ESG implementation, Scope -3 and GHG footprint reduction at brand /supplier level ?Cascading of sustainable luxury concept across supply chain for positive brand equity and reputation d)Others ?Monitor and report on sustainability performance like Brand Sustainability Dashboard & identify areas for improvement and innovation. ?Communicate sustainability initiatives to internal and external stakeholders, highlighting the brand's commitment and fostering transparency ?Capability building, awareness program & best practices sharing to brand, supplier & key stakeholders. Essential Skills: Deep understanding of sustainable materials and manufacturing processes: Knowledge of certifications like Butterfly, C2C, responsible sourcing practices etc. Ability to assess and mitigate environmental risks and improve sustainability performance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to engage with stakeholders, including designers, manufacturers, and customers. Industry knowledge: Familiarity with the luxury retail market and consumer preferences for sustainable products. Academic Qualifications: ?Graduate in Textile / Fashion from premier institute ?Program on Sustainability / ESG compliance related to product and process
