Job Description

Responsibilities

Strategic Advisory:

Provide strategic guidance on navigating complex regulatory environments in real estate businesses as well as Airport Authority.
Advise on policy and regulatory matters affecting the NMDPL interests.
Facilitate stakeholder engagement with government agencies, civic authorities, and other relevant bodies

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and statutes governing the Group businesses.
Monitor changes in regulatory frameworks and advise on necessary adaptations.
Liaise with regulatory bodies, such as DRP, UD, BMC, MHADA, MMRDA, and others.

Civic Authorities Approvals

Facilitate obtaining necessary approvals from civic authorities.
Coordinate with authorities, such as the BMC, MHADA, MoEF, PCB, RERA and MMRDA to resolve issues and expedite approvals.
Develop and maintain relationships with key officials in civic authorities.

Advocacy

Represent the company’s interests before government agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
Advocate for policy changes, regulatory reforms, and other initiatives beneficial to the company. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, politicians, and industry leaders.

Problem-Solving And Crisis Management

Provide strategic guidance on managing crises, disputes, and other critical issues.
Facilitate resolution of disputes with government agencies, civic authorities, and other stakeholders.
Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate risks and minimize potential damage.

Stakeholder Engagement

Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, politicians, industry leaders, and civic authorities.
Facilitate engagement between the Group leadership and key stakeholders.
Ensure effective communication and issue resolution with stakeholders.

Knowledge Management

Stay updated on regulatory changes, policy developments, and industry trends.
Share knowledge and expertise with the Group leadership and teams.
Develop and maintain a knowledge repository on regulatory matters, civic authorities, and industry best practices.

Experience

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 25 years of experience in Real Estate industry
Leading large scale systems in government department or Ministry or Civic authority at apex level or leadership position in a large PSU/ Apex level leadership role in a conglomerate or Industry
Ease of dealing with key functionaries at any level in government systems. Ability to influence public policy, regulations, rules for public good through network, influencing and advocacy. Ability to understand the impact of changes and come out with wholistic solutions

Education: Graduation in any discipline
