Head of Sales

The role of Head-Sales (TN/KER) leads the commercial strategy, driving profitable revenue growth by developing sales plans, setting targets and mentoring teams in the state of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. They analyse market trends, manage budgets and foster key client relationships to increase market share. This senior role requires 10-15 years of experience, strong leadership and data-driven decision making to meet company objectives.

1. Strategic Planning Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies, policies, and distribution plans to achieve company goals based on cost of running the business, business opportunity by region, ease of doing business and profitability.

2. Team Leadership Recruit, train, coach, mentor, motivate and lead a high-performing Sales Team to exceed targets.

3. Revenue Management Set sales targets, manage budgets, forecast revenue and monitor KPIs.

4. Receivables Management Ensure that all outstandings are collected within the due dates (30 Days from the date of invoice) and 7 days from the date of invoice for Cash Price billings.

5. Client and Relationship Management Nurture relationships with key clients and business partners. Establish CRM guidelines.

6. Market Analysis Analyse Sales data, market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Marketing and Product Marketing Teams to align sales tactics and business goals.

1. Experience 15+ years of Sales Experience with at least 5 years of experience in a senior sales leadership role.
2. Education Bachelors in Agriculture and preferably an MBA from a good b-school.
3. Leadership Exceptional Leadership, mentoring and team-building skills.
4. Communication Strong negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills. Good spoken and written communication skills in Thamizh, English and Malayalam.
