Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Anand for the Head of Research and Development. The role involves leading the R&D function, including designing and overseeing development projects for APIs, corticosteroids, and sex hormones. The Head of R&D will plan and manage research pipelines, supervise experimental design, review data, and ensure scientific rigor and regulatory alignment. Responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional project teams, setting timelines and milestones, managing budgets, and ensuring smooth transfer of developed products to manufacturing. The role also requires establishing and updating R&D processes, mentoring team members, collaborating with quality, regulatory, and production teams, and maintaining awareness of industry trends and technological advancements.

Qualifications

• Strong Research and Development (R&D) and Research skills, with experience in pharmaceutical product and process development.
• Excellent Analytical Skills for experimental design, data interpretation, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Demonstrated Team Management and Project Management abilities to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive projects to completion.
• Advanced degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline (Master’s or PhD preferred).
• Experience in API development, particularly in corticosteroids or sex hormones, and familiarity with GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in documentation, technical reporting, and collaboration with quality, regulatory, and manufacturing functions.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
• Proven track record of innovation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement in a pharmaceutical R&D environment.
