Role Overview

The Head of Operations will be responsible for leading and optimizing the end-to-end delivery of the company’s solutions—from hardware deployment (tracking devices and camera counting systems) and ticketing system rollouts to ongoing client support and field operations.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role requiring strong coordination across technical, field, and client-facing teams to ensure that all solutions are deployed on time, operate reliably, and deliver measurable value to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Deployment & Field Operations
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the on-site installation and commissioning of:
    • Bus tracking devices
    • Camera-based passenger counting systems
    • Ticketing hardware across client fleets
  • Build and manage a field operations team, including installation technicians, field engineers, and support agents.
  • Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for installation, configuration, testing, and handover.
  • Manage deployment schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • System Operations & Maintenance
  • Oversee the health and uptime of all deployed ticketing, tracking, and camera systems.
  • Establish preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure rapid response to system faults and hardware failures.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to resolve escalated issues and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor tracking data and passenger counting outputs for accuracy and performance.
  • Client & Vendor Management
  • Act as the primary operational point of contact for transport operators and clients.
  • Manage relationships with hardware vendors, logistics partners, and third-party service providers.
  • Conduct regular operational reviews with clients, presenting:
    • Performance reports
    • Uptime metrics
    • Improvement plans
  • Performance & Reporting
  • Define and track operational KPIs, including:
    • Deployment timelines
    • System uptime
    • Fault resolution times
    • Client satisfaction scores
  • Prepare reports for senior management highlighting:
    • Performance
    • Risks
    • Opportunities
  • Drive continuous process improvement to enhance scalability and efficiency.
  • Team Leadership & Budget Management
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing operations team.
  • Develop and manage the operations budget.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during installations and maintenance.
Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • MBA is an added advantage.
  • 6–10 years of operations experience.
  • Minimum 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in technology deployment, IoT, transport technology, or field services.
  • Hands-on experience deploying hardware and software solutions in field environments.
  • Experience with GPS tracking, camera systems, or ticketing solutions is highly preferred.
  • Strong project management and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly to client depots and operational sites.
  • Experience in transport operations, public bus systems, or fleet management is a strong advantage.

Additional Eligibility

  • Diploma holders with 6+ years of relevant experience will also be considered.
