About the Role
We're looking for a strategic and execution-focused Head of Marketplace to lead and scale our marketplace business across platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, and other relevant channels.
This role owns the marketplace P&L and is responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, assortment strategy, pricing, promotions, and operational excellence while working closely with marketing, supply chain, finance, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the complete marketplace business and P&L.
- Drive revenue, profitability, and sustainable growth across all marketplace channels.
- Develop marketplace growth strategies, promotions, pricing, and assortment plans.
- Build strong relationships with key account managers across marketplaces.
- Improve product visibility, search rankings, ratings, reviews, and conversion.
- Manage marketplace advertising and promotional campaigns.
- Monitor inventory health and ensure high product availability.
- Analyze sales performance, customer behavior, and competitive trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with supply chain, finance, marketing, and product teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Lead and mentor the marketplace team while building scalable processes.
Requirements
- 8–12+ years of experience in Marketplace/E-commerce.
- Experience managing Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of marketplace operations, category management, pricing, promotions, and digital commerce.
- Experience owning revenue targets and marketplace P&L.
- Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in Excel and marketplace analytics tools.
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Experience working with high-growth D2C or consumer brands is highly preferred.
