Role Description The Head of Engineering is a full-time, on-site role based in Surat, responsible for leading and overseeing all engineering activities across product design, development, and manufacturing. This role involves managing engineering teams, setting technical direction, and ensuring that projects meet quality, cost, and schedule objectives. The Head of Engineering will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, supply chain, and customer success, to ensure seamless execution of engineering initiatives. Daily responsibilities include reviewing project plans, guiding technical decision-making, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and company processes. The role also includes mentoring engineering staff, driving process improvements, and supporting new product introductions and rapid prototyping efforts.
Qualifications

• Strong Team Management and Team Leadership skills to guide, mentor, and develop engineering teams.
• Proven Engineering Management experience overseeing multidisciplinary design, development, and manufacturing projects.
• Solid Project Management skills, including planning, prioritization, risk management, and delivery within time and budget.
• Hands-on Software Development or embedded systems experience, particularly in electronics or manufacturing-related applications.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline).
• Experience in ECMS, EMS, or electronics product development environments is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, quality systems, and industry best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency.
• Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced production facility in Surat.
