About The Opportunity

A fast-growing company in the MusicTech sector building next-generation audio products—streaming platforms, collaborative DAWs, and real-time performance systems. We deliver low-latency, high-fidelity audio experiences to global audiences by combining cloud-native infrastructure, embedded audio engineering, and product-led design.

Primary title: Head of Engineering

As the Head of Engineering at Career Bloc you will set the technical vision and lead engineering execution across product, platform, and infra teams to deliver real-time audio features at scale.

Role & Responsibilities

Define and drive the technical roadmap for low-latency audio and streaming systems, aligning engineering priorities with product and business goals.
Architect and operationalise scalable, cloud-native microservices for audio ingestion, processing, and delivery to millions of concurrent users.
Lead, recruit and mentor engineering managers and senior engineers; build high-performing squads and a culture of ownership and shipping.
Establish reliability, observability and SRE practices (SLIs/SLOs, incident response, capacity planning) to ensure real-time audio SLAs.
Own technical partnerships, vendor selection, and cost optimisation for cloud, CDN, and streaming services.
Drive engineering excellence: code quality, CI/CD automation, security, performance profiling and cross-team collaboration.
