We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as the Business Manager for our technology organization in India.This individual will play a critical role in coordinating across functions to drive and manage growth, build high-performing teams, and deliver measurable success.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Execution & Operational Excellence
- Implement enterprise-grade governance frameworks, define performance KPIs, and oversee cost and quality of service delivery across multiple functions.
- Translate global strategies into actionable local priorities, execution roadmaps, and operational capabilities.
- Drive the team’s evolution as a value-creation hub, delivering scalable impact.
- Build and empower strong leadership teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Champion internal talent mobility, leadership development, and succession planning at all levels.
- Collaborate effectively with global business leaders across multiple geographies.
- Exhibit high emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to influence without formal authority in a matrixed environment.
- Keep global stakeholders informed proactively, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Act as a visible and intentional culture leader, balancing global values with a locally resonant identity.
- Lead with integrity, long-term vision, and a commitment to standing up for all stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of India’s regulatory, tax, labor, and compliance landscape.
- Partner with legal, finance, compliance, and HR teams to ensure compliance, manage operational risks, and uphold governance standards.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with a strong background in India office operations, preferably in a COO or senior leadership role, or management consulting.
- Education: Masters in business administration or equivalent advanced degree.
- Global Expertise: Experience working with multinational organization in a matrixed environment.
- Operational Leadership: Demonstrated success in building or scaling a global capability center or operations hub in India.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with investment management regulations and enterprise risk management.
- Governance & Compliance: Experience in establishing governance frameworks and board-level reporting.
- Transformation Leadership: Proven ability to lead transformation and change management initiatives across business operations.
- Culture Builder: Track record of shaping culture and establishing strong local leadership in a new or growing market.
- Analytical Skills: Strong financial and analytical acumen to support data-driven decision-making.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage relationships across diverse stakeholders.
