Role Overview

The Growth Manager will own the end-to-end growth strategy and execution for Amazon (Vendor Central/Seller Central) and support other marketplace ecosystems. This is a highly analytical, data-driven role focused on driving sustainable business growth through marketplace optimization, advertising excellence, and strategic business insights.

The role requires a strong understanding of Amazon's ecosystem, with a primary focus on scaling performance through Amazon Ads, improving organic discoverability, optimizing catalog and A+ content, and leveraging data to influence business decisions. The Growth Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and Amazon stakeholders to maximize marketplace performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Optimization (60% Focus)
    • Amazon Ads Ownership: Direct, optimize, and scale Amazon Ads campaigns (Sponsored Products, Brands, Display, and Video) with full ownership of efficiency.
    • Organic & Visual Search: Own listing conversion rates by continuously updating, A/B testing, and optimizing titles, bullet points, backend keywords, and A+ content.
    • Catalog Architecture: Proactively manage listing hygiene, fix suppressed listings, improve Brand Store layouts, and elevate overall catalog health scores.
    • Traffic & Conversion Scaling: Execute algorithmic strategies to boost search rankings, improve Click-Through Rates (CTR), and maximize Detail Page View (DPV) conversion rates.
  • Advanced Data Analytics & Business Intelligence
    • Dual Data Focus: Read, merge, and derive actionable strategy from both commercial metrics (sales, glance views) and operational metrics (inventory turns, fill rates).
    • Ad Metric Mastery: Critically evaluate and optimize financial efficiency using ad-specific levers including ROAS, ACOS, TACOS, and Share of Voice (SOV).
    • Inventory & Ops Audit: Constantly monitor purchase orders, replenishment cycles, appointments, and Amazon chargebacks/deductions to preserve margin.
    • Predictive Forecasting: Utilize multi-funnel data points to build highly accurate rolling monthly sales and stock demand forecasts.
  • Stakeholder Management & Business Expansion
    • Strategic Joint Business Planning: Engage Amazon Vendor Managers and Category Managers to unlock exclusive visibility programs, deals, and collaborative growth plans.
    • Portfolio Strategy: Drive margin improvements by engineering smart pricing frameworks, creating exclusive bundles, and executing hyper-targeted promotional events.
Required Qualifications & Experience

    • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Business, Marketing, or Economics. MBA is a strong plus.
    • Core Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on, daily operational execution inside Amazon Vendor Central and Seller Central.
    • Sector: Proven growth track record in fast-moving consumer sectors (FMCG, D2C, Consumer Electronics, or Personal Care)
Required Skills

Technical & Optimization Skills

    • Amazon Native Ecosystem: Deep expertise in Vendor Central, Seller Central, and Amazon Brand Registry.
    • Amazon Advertising Console: Hands-on campaign creation, bidding strategies, keyword harvesting, and portfolio structuring.
    • Analytics Tools: Advanced proficiency in Amazon Brand Analytics, Excel (macros, complex formulas), Power BI, or similar data visualization tools.
    • SEO & Conversion Mechanics: Practical knowledge of search algorithms, keyword indexing, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
Commercial & Growth Skills

    • Data-Driven Negotiation: Ability to pitch for top-tier visibility spaces using performance data rather than relationships alone.
    • P&L and Unit Economics Management: Complete grasp of contribution margins, marketing cost impact, and platform fee structures.
    • Supply Chain Acumen: Strong understanding of inbound planning, fulfillment methods (FBA/Flex/Direct Import), and warehouse appointment constraints.
Success Criteria for the Role

A successful Growth Manager will be evaluated on their ability to significantly scale channel GMV and market share while simultaneously driving down TACOS, improving listing conversion rates, achieving zero critical out-of-stock windows, and building elite visibility across Amazon search pages.
