Experience: 6–10 years total, with a minimum of 3–4 years directly owning a customer funnel or growth metric — not just executing campaigns or producing analysis for someone else to act on.

Location/Work mode: Remote/US-hours overlap should be stated explicitly since this is a US client.


About the Role

This role owns growth across the business — from first touch through conversion to retention. The person in this seat pulls their own data, finds where the funnel is leaking, and works directly with marketing, engineering, product, and support to fix it. This is not a reporting or dashboard role — it's an ownership role where the person is accountable for the outcome, not just the analysis.


What This Person Will Do
  • Independently query and analyze raw data (SQL required; Python/dashboarding tools a strong plus) to find where users drop off in the funnel
  • Segment customers to understand why some convert better than others and which acquisition channels drive the highest lifetime value
  • Design, prioritize, and run experiments (A/B tests, funnel changes, retention initiatives) — and measure their actual business impact
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, engineering, and support to implement changes — this role does not stop at recommending, it ships
  • Build and maintain the metrics/reporting structure the business uses to make growth decisions


Must-Have (screen for these first)
  • Hands-on SQL — able to write their own queries, not dependent on a data team
  • A specific, tellable story of a funnel or metric they personally owned and moved (ask for numbers: "what moved, by how much, over what period")
  • Experience working directly with engineering/product to ship a change, not just recommending it to someone else
  • Comes from a company with an active growth/experimentation culture (see target company list below)


Nice-to-Have
  • Python for automation/deeper analysis
  • Experience with growth/CRM tooling (CleverTap, MoEngage, WebEngage, Mixpanel, Amplitude)
  • Prior experience across multiple channels (paid acquisition, lifecycle/CRM, product-led growth)
  • Some experience managing or mentoring analysts/marketers
