Role Description The Ground Instructor is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality ground school instruction to aspiring pilots, covering subjects such as air regulations, navigation, meteorology, aircraft systems, human factors, and operational procedures. The Ground Instructor will prepare lesson plans, conduct classroom sessions, lead discussions, and use training aids and simulation tools to ensure learners understand theoretical concepts and can apply them in practice. Daily responsibilities include assessing student progress, designing quizzes and exams, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate training records in line with academy standards and regulatory requirements. The role also involves collaborating with other instructors, participating in curriculum development, and supporting students with mentoring and guidance throughout their pilot training journey.
Qualifications
  • Strong theoretical knowledge of aviation subjects (air regulations, navigation, meteorology, aircraft performance, and systems) and the ability to teach these concepts clearly.
  • Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning for aviation or technical training programs.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills to facilitate engaging and structured learning sessions.
  • Ability to assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and adjust teaching methods to support diverse learning needs.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and digital teaching tools (presentation software, learning management systems, and online resources).
  • Prior experience as a Ground Instructor or commercial pilot, or relevant aviation instructional background, is highly beneficial.
  • Familiarity with national and international aviation training standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation, aeronautical engineering, science, or a related field; recognized aviation training or instructional certifications are an advantage.
