About Rooftop

Rooftop is the world's first creative multiverse. We started by learning directly from Indian artists whose crafts were shaped by generations of practice. Now we bring global artists, creative practices, and curious learners into one shared universe — a marketplace, a school, and a cultural archive all at once.

Everything we put out is a reflection of that. The visual language has to hold craft and commerce in the same frame. We're not a lifestyle brand. We're not a museum. We're something new.

What You'll Be Doing

This role sits at the intersection of brand, editorial, product, and culture. You'll work across formats — sometimes in a single week.

Social media creatives

Design thumb-stopping content for Instagram, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms — reels covers, carousels, static posts.Build visual templates that are flexible but instantly recognisable as Rooftop.

Brand and internal communications

Create brand decks, pitch presentations, internal toolkits, and partner-facing materials.Maintain visual consistency across all collateral — every deck should feel like it came from the same mind.

Event creatives

Design end-to-end visual identities for events — standees, backdrops, digital assets, booth designs, signage.Translate a brief into an environment, not just a graphic.

Books, illustrations, and editorial design

Work on illustrated books, art documentation, and long-form editorial projects.Lay out pages that feel considered — typography, white space, image treatment all working together.

Product concept design and new product creations

Visualise new product ideas — from concept sketches to polished render-ready presentations.Work closely with the product and marketing team to bring creative directions to life before they go into production.

Product mockups

Create clean, high-fidelity mockups for products, packaging, and gifting lines.Present products in contexts that do justice to the craft behind them.

Ad creatives

Design performance and brand ad creatives across Meta, Google, and other channels.Understand the difference between scroll-stopping and brand-right — and find the overlap.

Newsletters and email design

Design visually cohesive HTML email newsletters that feel editorial, not promotional.Work with the content team on layout, hierarchy, and image selection.

Who Should Apply

You have a strong portfolio spanning multiple formats — not just social posts, but editorial, product, or brand work. You're comfortable switching between Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, and wherever else the work takes you.You have a genuine eye for Indian visual culture — you know what feels authentic and what doesn't.You can take a half-formed brief and come back with something that surprises people. You work fast without cutting corners. You know what 'good enough for now' looks like and what 'needs another pass' looks like. You care about craft - both in the work you consume and the work you put out.

Skills Needed

Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).Experience with motion or basic video editing is a plus but not required.Strong typographic sensibility and layout instincts.Ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously — you can hold several threads without dropping any of them.Comfortable collaborating across teams — you work well with designers, writers, product, and leadership without needing things to be siloed.Ability to work within brand guidelines and push them when needed. Can handle a fast-moving content calendar without losing quality.

What You Get

A seat at the table in a genuinely unusual brand building a new category.Work that actually shows up in the world - on platforms, in events, in homes.Direct collaboration with the founders and creative leads.A company that takes design seriously and invests in it.
