Graduate Trainee - Technical Content Writing

The Calix intern programs provide the opportunity to learn business skills, gain exposure to communications platforms, and contribute to a growing company. The Graduate Trainee—Documentation role focuses on understanding complex information and converting it into clear, structured, easy to use content; applying strong analytical thinking, effective communication, and AI tools to improve documentation and process understanding; and gaining hands on experience in a consulting style, problem solving environment.

Similar positions or industry roles include Documentation Specialist, Technical writer or Content Creator. Success is defined by delivering high-quality content to our stakeholders. You will be challenged to create content from scratch by understanding the process.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Analyze information from discussions, documents, and workflows
• Break down complex topics into simple, logical steps
• Create and update clear, well-structured written content
• Use AI tools to research, summarize, and improve content quality
• Collaborate with team members and incorporate feedback
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all deliverables
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Completed a bachelor’s degree in engineering or information technology or a related field.
• Basic familiarity with AI tools and willingness to learn more.
• Strong interest in technical writing or documentation as a career.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good understanding of technical concepts (software, hardware, or process-related) is a plus
• Strong analytical and logical thinking
• Eagerness to learn and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
