Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Graduate Engineer Trainee (Mechanical Engineering) role based in Hosur. The trainee will support the design and analysis of mechanical components and equipment, including pressure vessels, storage tanks, and structural fabrications under the guidance of senior engineers. Daily responsibilities include assisting in CAD modeling and drafting, participating in machine and equipment design reviews, and contributing to documentation for manufacturing and quality checks. The role involves coordinating with production, quality, and project teams on shop floor activities, monitoring fabrication progress, and supporting basic project planning and reporting. The trainee will also be involved in research and development tasks, such as continuous improvement initiatives, learning relevant codes and standards, and applying theoretical knowledge to practical engineering problems.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering concepts
  • Proficiency in Machine Design and understanding of mechanical systems, components, and design calculations.
  • Working knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for 2D drafting and 3D modeling, or we will teach you.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, standards, and technical specifications pr we will teach you.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on the shop floor and in office environments.
  • Attention to detail, a safety-conscious mindset, and a willingness to learn from experienced engineers.
