Graduate Building SurveyorLocation:Manchester (with site travel as required)

Salary:£28,000 £32,000 per annum

Working Hours:Full Time Monday to Friday

We are a growingcommercial property consultancy and development support team, providing professional advice and project oversight across a substantial portfolio of office and industrial properties throughout theNorth West and West Midlands.

Our team works across the full lifecycle of commercial property projects, frompre-acquisition surveys and planning through to refurbishment, development, and construction delivery. We collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and specialist consultants to deliver high-quality projects across our portfolio.

The Role

We are seeking aGraduate Building Surveyorto join our expanding Building Consultancy team in Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for arecent graduate or early-career professionalto gain hands-on experience across a broad range of surveying and project management activities. You will work closely with experienced surveyors and project managers, developing your skills while working towardsprofessional accreditation with RICS.

You will be involved in projects frominitial surveys and planning through to construction and completion, gaining valuable exposure to the commercial property sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist withpre-acquisition building surveys and schedules of condition
  • Supportplanning and building regulation applications
  • Help managedesign and refurbishment projectsunder senior supervision
  • Assist withcontract administration and site monitoring
  • Conductdefect analysisand assist with the preparation of technical reports
  • Supporthealth and safety compliance on site, including CDM and DDA procedures
  • Liaise withsub-consultants, contractors, and project teams
  • Developclient-facing communication and project management skills
  • Assist in managing projects frominception through to completionunder senior guidance

About You

We are looking for someone enthusiastic, organised, and eager to build a career in building surveying.

You Will Ideally Have

  • Adegree (or near completion)inBuilding Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline
  • A strong interest in developing a career withincommercial property and construction
  • A good understanding oftechnical drawings and specifications
  • Strongwritten and verbal communication skills
  • Goodorganisation and time management abilities
  • A proactive attitude and willingness tolearn from experienced professionals
  • An ambition to work towardsRICS membership

Familiarity with project management software such as Procore (or similar) would be advantageous.
