Job purpose:

Governance & Compliance Sr. Officer ensures that the organization adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role involves analyzing regulatory changes, drafting policies, conducting audits, and managing compliance risks to uphold the organization’s integrity and ethical standards.

Job Accountabilities:

• Analyze changes in regulations and assess their impact on the organization.
• Draft and update corporate governance and compliance policies and procedures.
• Plan and conduct internal audits to assess compliance with policies and regulations.
• Identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions and follow-up on implementation.
• Investigate governance and compliance violations and recommend disciplinary actions.
• Develop action plans to address compliance breaches.
• Track regulatory developments and assess their impact on business operations, recommending updates as needed.
• Support the development and maintenance of a compliance universe, register and reporting dashboard.
• Provide compliance training and raise awareness to ensure employees are informed and compliant.
• Perform tracking of all company licenses, certifications and insurances and notify business units in a timely manner for renewal.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in law, Business Administration, or equivalent
• A minimum of 4 – 6 years of experience in the same or similar field
