Position Description We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong Cloud Infrastructure, Security, and Data skills to join our dynamic Cloud Services team. Job Description: As a Cloud Engineer for our Client, you will play a crucial role in establishing Google Cloud foundations and onboarding native cloud services to meet infrastructure and project specifications. You will have the opportunity to: Design and Deploy: Contribute to the design and deployment of enterprise-wide scalable, highly available, secure, and reliable platforms and architecture on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) full-stack. Establish Reusable Patterns: Develop reusable patterns to be used across engineering teams, ensuring consistency and efficiency. Collaborate: Work closely with various business and technology teams to create a clear and cohesive vision for the future state of our Google Cloud Platform. Stay Informed: Maintain awareness of industry trends and technologies, recommending timely adjustments to strategies as appropriate. Security & Governance: Assist with the development and management of security and governance processes to ensure that cloud deployments are secure and follow industry best practices. Technical Experience and Qualifications: Experience: 6+ years of relevant work experience in cloud engineering. Google Cloud Platform: Advanced proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Infrastructure as Code: Advanced proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation. Configuration Management: Advanced skills in Ansible for configuration management. Version Control: Experience with Git for version control and collaboration. Network and Security: Advanced understanding of network and security principles. Linux: Advanced knowledge of Linux operating systems (RHEL). DevSecOps: Advanced skills in DevSecOps practices. Architecture Patterns: Strong experience working with common architecture patterns. Programming: Basic knowledge of programming languages like Python. Cloud Engineering: Expert-level skills in cloud engineering. SAFe: Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). BDD: Strong experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) creation for testing. Soft Skills: Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing technologies and environments.
