Role Description We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with 5?7 years of industry experience to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, DevOps, and security experts to support cloud-native applications and infrastructure automation. Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and manage scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform and/or Google Cloud Deployment Manager. Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance processes. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Google Cloud Build. Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate using Kubernetes/GKE. Configure and maintain cloud networking services including VPCs, subnets, load balancers, VPNs, Cloud Interconnect, and peering. Monitor cloud infrastructure health, performance, and cost efficiency using Stackdriver, Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and Cloud Trace. Ensure security compliance through IAM policies, encryption, vulnerability management, and best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to cloud infrastructure and networking. Participate in on-call rotations and incident response as required. Technical Skills & Experience: 5?7 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or site reliability engineering. Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform (preferred) and Deployment Manager. Familiarity with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or Google Cloud Build. Strong knowledge of containers and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes/GKE. Solid understanding of networking concepts such as VPC design, firewall rules, routing, and load balancing. Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go for automation. Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging solutions such as Stackdriver, Prometheus, or Grafana. Awareness of cloud security best practices. Preferred Qualifications: Google Cloud certifications like Professional Cloud Architect or Professional DevOps Engineer. Exposure to other cloud providers such as AWS or Azure. Experience with serverless computing (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions). Familiarity with service mesh technologies like Istio and API Gateway management. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Clear verbal and written communication skills.
