Go-down Officer

Roles & Responsibilities :

Go-down Administration –

1.      Maintain internal and external warehouse areas clean, organized, and hazard‑free.

2.      Ensure proper housekeeping standards and hygiene, including availability of drinking water.

3.      Maintain safety standards:

o  Proper locking system with key custodian

o  Fire safety equipment arrangement and records

o  First‑aid / medical kit availability

o  Ensure overall warehouse quality and safety compliance.

Inventory Management-

1.      Maintain inventory as per seasonal requirements and company budget guidelines.

2.      Minimize inventory holding cost through systematic stock planning.

3.      Prevent wastage by keeping inventory at optimum levels.

4.      Handle inventory processes:

o  Stock taking

o  Inventory reconciliation

o  Inventory analysis

o  Maintaining inventory registers and documentation

5.      Monthly stock verification and reporting.

Vehicle & Logistics Coordination

1.      Maintain inward & outward vehicle register, including loading/unloading expenses.

2.      Coordinate with suppliers, buyers, factory teams, and internal departments through telephone, email, and WhatsApp.

3.      Organize outward loading and inward unloading of materials.

Labour & Transport Management

1.      Develop transporter and labour vendor network within company budget and R&R guidelines.

2.      Finalize freight charges, extra delivery point rates, and extra kilometer charges.

3.      Negotiate and freeze payment terms and prepare transport agreements.

4.      Ensure daily availability of vehicles for incoming and outgoing material.

5.      Plan and schedule dispatch routes and driver schedules.

6.      Maintain accurate dispatch activity records.

Material Procurement

1.      Raise Indent and Purchase Orders (PO) for materials from factory or suppliers.

2.      Maintain Indent and PO registers for material inward tracking.

3.      Verify material received with challan/invoice as per Indent/PO; record shortages or pending items.

4.      Prepare SRV (Store Receipt Voucher) in Tally after material receipt.

5.      Maintain MIS reports such as Vendor agreements, BIS licenses, and validity records.

Material Dispatch Operations

1.      Prepare cost‑efficient truck dispatch plans as per field requirements.

2.      Plan dispatch routes and process shipment documentation.

3.      Ensure accuracy of dispatch documents: invoices, delivery challans, gate passes, e‑way bills.

4.      Meet operational KPIs:

o  Zero accidents

o  Zero inventory mismatch

o  Zero wrong material dispatch

5.      Ensure timely, accurate dispatch as per schedules, quality standards, laws, and company policies

Eligibility:

·      B.Com Graduate

·      5-7 years of experience in handling go-down/logistics/warehouse operations

·      Candidates from MI or agri-input industries will be preferred.

Skills:

1.      Proficient in Tally ERP for inventory and accounting entries.

2.      Strong communication skills (written & verbal) in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.

3.      Knowledge of email operations, WhatsApp communication, and basic computer usage (MS Office preferred).

4.      Strong organizational and administrative skills.

5.      Experience in warehouse/inventory management.

6.      Ability to lead labour teams and coordinate with transporters and suppliers.

7.      Ability to work under pressure and meet dispatch timelines.

8.      Detail‑oriented with strong record‑keeping ability

9.      Accuracy of stock levels

10.   On‑time dispatch completion

11.   Efficiency in error free deliveries

12.   Effective cost control in transport & inventory

13.   Clean and hazard‑free warehouse environment
