Logistics & Import Coordinator (3PL / Ocean Freight / Customs)

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Logistics & Import Coordinator to own end-to-end shipment coordination for our Supply Chain team — from freight booking through customs clearance to final warehouse intake. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role at the center of our import operations, ensuring products move smoothly and on time from origin to destination.

You'll work closely with 3PL partners, freight forwarders, and customs agents, while keeping internal systems and stakeholders aligned every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities

Freight & Shipment Coordination

• Coordinate ocean (and air, where applicable) freight bookings with carriers and freight forwarders
• Track shipment ETAs and proactively flag potential delays before they escalate
• Review packing lists, invoices, bills of lading, and carton details for accuracy

3PL & Customs Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact with 3PL warehouse partners, ensuring smooth handoffs and aligned systems
• Coordinate customs clearance documentation, including HS code classification, duty calculation, and compliance checks
• Resolve customs holds or documentation mismatches quickly to avoid downstream delays

Inventory & Stock Accuracy

• Update arrival and intake statuses as stock is received and logged
• Flag stock discrepancies early and reconcile internal records with 3PL/warehouse data
• Maintain accurate tracking sheets across shipment, customs, and inventory stages

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Provide timely shipment/ETA updates to Customer Service, E-Commerce, and Finance teams
• Assist with documentation requirements across Logistics and Finance functions
• Maintain well-structured tracking sheets and shared documentation

What We're Looking For

• 4–5 years of experience in logistics, freight, or import/export operations
• Hands-on experience with 3PL coordination (not just general warehouse/last-mile logistics)
• Direct experience with ocean freight bookings specifically
• Working knowledge of customs clearance processes and HS code documentation
• Strong stock/inventory reconciliation experience
• Confident with Excel/Google Sheets and ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
• Stable career history — steady tenure in prior roles preferred
• Good communication skills and a collaborative, team-first approach
