About the Role:

We are hiring a Senior Global Payments Specialist to own and scale our payment infrastructure, business operations, and fund movement across global markets. This role is responsible for ensuring our payment stack is reliable, compliant, cost-efficient, and scalable. You will work across payment partnerships, onboarding, daily operations, settlement management, reconciliation, risk monitoring, and cross-functional coordination with product, tech, finance, legal, and compliance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Payment Partnerships & Onboarding

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard payment partners, including payment gateways, alternative payment methods, payout partners, and crypto payment providers where relevant.
• Lead exploratory calls, commercial discussions, technical evaluations, and partner due diligence.
• Coordinate end-to-end integration from business requirement gathering to technical UAT and go-live.
• Maintain strong relationships with partners and review service quality, pricing, uptime, and performance regularly.

Payment Operations & Monitoring

• Oversee daily payment operations across multiple geographies and payment methods.
• Monitor authorization rates, success rates, refund rates, chargebacks, settlement delays, and processing issues.
• Identify operational risks, investigate failures, and work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues quickly.

Compliance & Process Management

• Ensure payment processes follow applicable regulatory, banking, tax, and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with legal, compliance, finance, and banking partners on operational matters.
• Support documentation, audits, risk reviews, and policy-related requirements as needed.
• Help maintain process controls for secure, compliant, and scalable payment operations.

Disputes, Fraud & Risk

• Monitor fraud trends, dispute volumes, chargebacks, and risk signals.
• Work with internal teams and payment partners to reduce losses and improve approval rates.
• Escalate important payment, fraud, or compliance issues to the right internal stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Participate in tech and product calls to resolve integration issues and improve payment performance.
• Join exploratory calls with new providers and markets to assess feasibility, risk, and commercial fit.
• Support special projects such as new market launches, banking setup, entity coordination, and process improvements.

Key Requirements:

• Experience in global or cross-border payments.
• Experience in working with multiple entities, international banking, or multi-currency operations.
• Experience negotiating commercial terms with payment providers and reducing processing costs.
• Strong experience in payments operations, payment partnerships, or payment infrastructure.
• Good understanding of the payment lifecycle, including authorization, capture, settlement, refund, chargeback, and reconciliation.
• Experience working with payment gateways, payout systems, banking partners, and settlement workflows.
• Comfort working with technical teams and understanding API-based payment integrations.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel knowledge.
• Familiarity with compliance, fraud management, and operational controls in cross-border payments.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities, tight deadlines, and fast-moving operational environments.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
