Role Overview

The Global Expansion Specialist will play a key role in driving Happy Cultures’ international growth agenda. This role will be responsible for identifying high-potential markets, developing market-entry strategies, supporting cross-border D2C operations, and creating scalable growth plans across geographies.

The ideal candidate should bring a combination of commercial acumen, digital growth understanding, market intelligence, and execution capability, with prior exposure to nutraceuticals, supplements, wellness, or consumer healthcare categories in international markets. The role also requires strong secondary research capability and the ability to independently gather, interpret, and translate market, consumer, channel, and competitive information into actionable expansion opportunities.


Key Responsibilities

International Expansion & Growth Strategy

  1. Identify, evaluate, and prioritize international markets based on consumer demand, category attractiveness, competitive intensity, and commercial feasibility.
  2. Develop market-entry strategies and phased expansion plans for new geographies.
  3. Build business cases and expansion recommendations using market sizing and growth potential assessment.
  4. Create scalable expansion frameworks.
  5. Build a strong understanding of international e-commerce ecosystems and evaluate expansion opportunities across global marketplaces and digital commerce platforms.

D2C Business Growth

  1. Support international D2C growth initiatives and contribute to revenue expansion across target markets.
  2. Track and optimize core business metrics including customer acquisition, conversion, retention, repeat purchase, and customer value.
  3. Partner with internal growth teams to improve customer journeys and market performance.
  4. Monitor and assess performance and growth opportunities across international digital commerce platforms and marketplace ecosystems (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, Noon, Careem, Talabat, and similar regional platforms).

Market Intelligence & Consumer Insights

  1. Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify whitespace opportunities.
  2. Monitor emerging trends across wellness, nutraceuticals, microbiome, and preventive health categories.
  3. Translate consumer and market insights into actionable business recommendations.

Regulatory Collaboration

  1. Work with Regulatory and relevant stakeholders to support compliant market launches.
  2. Understand and align expansion plans with country-specific requirements across labelling, claims, product registration, and import frameworks.


Required Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Marketing, or related disciplines.
  •  MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
  •  4–6 years of experience in D2C growth, international business, market expansion, commercial strategy, or related functions.



Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience within nutraceuticals, supplements, consumer healthcare, wellness, OTC, or adjacent categories.
  • Exposure to international market launches or cross-border business models.
  • Experience working in growth-stage or consumer-first organizations.
  • Understanding of global e-commerce and marketplace ecosystems.
