Your Impact Our clients increasingly require high throughput straight through processing systems handling large amounts of data, which is driving a re-architecture of our current platforms. The Derivative Trade Processing team is looking for software developers who can deliver technology solutions to enable new business activities, allow businesses to scale up, and satisfy the needs of a wide range of functions. We are a highly innovative team building out our platform from the ground up and we take full ownership of our systems. The projects that you work on will contribute to creating a set of platforms, services and APIs that can be used for multiple business needs. This role will enable you to grow technical depth and expertise, and you will be working closely with senior technical experts. We process derivative transactions globally, and you will have the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the many aspects of these products, and the teams involved in them. The technologies we use are broad, with our technology stack consisting of products such as Java, Kafka, MongoDB, Snowflake, Typescript and Slang (an in-house language similar to Python). A willingness to learn new languages, technologies and the business, and apply best software development practices will be key to your success in this role Our Impact We take all derivative activity globally across different businesses and handle data distribution at scale to ensure we meet our clients needs, with many teams dependent on our data and APIs in order to sent legal confirmations to our clients, move money, oversee the business and other internal and external interactions. We interact with businesses as they plan for new opportunities, handle ever increasing volumes and variety of products, and work closely with Operations and Engineering teams across the globe to continually increase scale and efficiency and insight into our data. Responsibility & Qualifications We are looking for an experienced developer who will play a key role in driving some of these transformational efforts from Bengaluru. Strong communication skills are key; we expect you to constructively volunteer reasoned views and opinions in different team forums, both technically and on how we?re performing as an Agile team. Effectively meeting the demands of our challenging mandate requires a passion for learning as well as a deep understanding and experience across a wide array of technical competencies. Required Qualifications Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field 2-4 years programming in an object-oriented language such as C++, Java, Python, C# Application development using relational or object-oriented databases Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to perform complex debugging and root-cause analysis Close interaction with business users to understand and help shape requirements Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) experience Clear and confident communication skills Preferred Qualifications (helpful But Not Essential) Banking IT experience, especially with OTC Derivative products UNIX environment exposure NoSQL DB such as Mongo Goldman Sachs Engineering Culture At Goldman Sachs, our Engineers don?t just make things ? we make things possible.
