About the Role
We are looking for a Global AP Manager to play a key role in managing and executing our AP Processes, systems, and compliance that support global Financial operations. This role includes overseeing the end-to-end global Accounts Payable (AP) function, encompassing invoice processing, T&E management, supplier relationship management, and regulatory compliance across all entities. The Global AP Manager will work closely with employees and people managers, our executive team and external service providers to manage our AP Process and payments across over 20 countries. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, working within our small globally distributed Finance Team, this role will also involve optimizing processes to improve service quality, efficiency, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the global Accounts Payable process to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and external regulations.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close procedures as they relate to Accounts Payable, including accruals and general ledger reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with international tax requirements related to vendor payments, including VAT, GST, and withholding tax obligations across all operating jurisdictions.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization across global AP processes, leveraging automation and best-in-class technology to increase efficiency and control.
- Oversee vendor master data management to ensure data integrity and security, performing regular audits and risk assessments.
- Develop and maintain internal controls over the AP function to ensure financial data integrity and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance (as applicable).
- Prepare payruns and set-up for the bank.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP)) are a plus.
- Experience: 5+ years in managing a global Accounts Payable function ideally in a multinational environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experiences in implementing or optimizing global AP automation systems (e.g., Finway, Coupa, Concur, or similar) and driving large-scale process improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of international Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or IFRS, and international payment/banking systems.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cultures and with remote teams. Ability to adapt working with Senior Leaders and Employees alike.
- Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis skills with experience in cash flow forecasting, variance analysis, and defining/tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for AP.
- Process-Oriented Mindset: A strong focus on internal controls, compliance, and driving change in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
- Technical Skills: Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Forms), MS Office and a major ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) for global financial operations.
- Excellent English skills in speaking and writing. German skills (B1) would be a strong plus.

Pay range and compensation package
This job is offered with a remote contract and we accept applicants from Bulgaria (hybrid in Sofia Region possible), Poland and India (hybrid in Bangalore & Hyderabad possible).
