Role: General Manager – Gourmet Business

Location: Gurgaon

We’re searching for a visionary business leader to helm this ambition, someone who sees beyond transactions and envisions the future of premium dining at home.

This isn't just a portfolio to manage; it's a market to create. As the General Manager, you will be the chief architect and driving force behind our entire Gourmet business, shaping its identity, growth, and profitability.

What You Will Do?

  • Orchestrate the Growth Engine: You will own the P&L for the Gourmet category, developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to achieve ambitious growth and profitability targets across all cities.
  • Lead a Powerhouse Team: Inspire, mentor, and lead a high-performing, ambitious team of Regional Managers and Key Account Managers. You will foster a culture of excellence and empower them to forge and deepen strategic partnerships with the country's top gourmet brands.
  • Architect the Market Roadmap: You will design the strategic blueprint for city-level expansion and category dominance. Your vision will guide where we go next and how we win.
  • Champion an Unparalleled Customer Experience: Act as the central hub of collaboration, working seamlessly with our Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure every customer touchpoint—from discovery to delivery—is exceptional.
  • Be the Voice of the Industry: Serve as the credible and influential face of Swiggy within the gourmet community. You'll translate deep consumer insights and partner feedback into a data-driven category roadmap that anticipates trends and drives innovation.

Core Qualifications & Desired Capabilities

We are seeking a leader with a demonstrated history of building and scaling successful business verticals.

Professional Requirements

  • Strategic Business Acumen: A minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in strategic sales, category management, or business development, ideally within the e-commerce, premium CPG/FMCG, or hospitality sectors.
  • P&L Ownership: Demonstrable expertise in full P&L management, with a proven track record of creating and executing strategic plans that deliver both top-line growth and bottom-line profitability.
  • Inspirational Leadership: Exceptional leadership capabilities with experience managing and mentoring multi-layered teams. You are adept at coaching talent, setting a high bar for performance, and fostering a culture of ownership and ambition.
  • Executive-Level Relationship Building: A natural ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with C-level stakeholders. You can structure complex partnership deals and articulate a clear, compelling vision to both internal teams and external partners.
  • Analytical Horsepower: Superior analytical and problem-solving skills. An MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree from a top-tier institution is highly preferred, coupled with the ability to think from first principles to solve complex business challenges.
