Job Description
ABOUT LENSKART
Lenskart is Asia's largest eyewear company, serving over 40 million people across 175+ cities in India, Singapore, Dubai, and beyond. What started as an online eyewear store in 2010 has grown into an omnichannel powerhouse with 3,000+ stores, the world's most automated eyewear manufacturing facility, and a mission to serve one billion eyes.
"Good is not good enough" is something you'll hear often at Lenskart — we're always pushing to go beyond vision correction and transform how people see and experience the world.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a mandate to take end-to-end ownership of problems that genuinely matter to Lenskart's next phase of scale — with real ownership, direct access to the CEO and senior leadership, and the accountability that comes with it.
This is not a coordinator role, and it is not a typical Chief of Staff role. It is a career-defining, high-velocity, outcome-obsessed mandate for someone who wants to bring clarity, speed, discipline, and intelligence to how an entire company runs — and who wants to help build one of the most admired AI-first consumer companies in the world.
You'll help the CEO operate at 10x, and in doing so, help Lenskart operate at 100x. The specific problem you own will shift as the business needs it to — this is deliberately a generalist mandate, not a fixed functional lane.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Take full, end-to-end ownership of business-critical mandates as they arise — not a slice of one, not a support role on one — with full accountability for the outcome.
- Program-manage priority initiatives across the CEO Office: track progress, remove roadblocks, ensure delivery, and create clarity, structure, and accountability company-wide.
- Build and lead the cross-functional muscle needed to get there — pulling in Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Experience as the problem demands, often without formal authority over those teams.
- Drive execution excellence: align senior leaders, push teams, escalate when needed, and act as the CEO's execution engine.
- Break down complex, ambiguous problems with logic and first principles; analyze business performance deeply and link insights directly to P&L.
- Use AI as a default part of how you work — for research, analysis, drafting, decision-support, and speed. Build AI-driven workflows, automations, and tools to remove manual work wherever it makes sense, and embed an AI-first mindset across the teams you touch.
- Craft CEO updates, board materials, and strategic notes that turn chaos into clarity and complexity into simplicity.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Humble and ego-free — comfortable saying "I don't know," and hungry to learn constantly.
- Fluency with AI tools as a bare minimum, non-negotiable requirement — you already use AI daily to research, analyze, write, and decide faster, and you can build AI-driven workflows, automations, or lightweight agents/tools to solve real problems, not just use AI as a chat assistant.
- Undergraduate degree from an IIT (or equivalent top-tier engineering institute) and/or an MBA from an IIM (or a global top-10 program) — this bar is real and non-negotiable.
- 6–10 years of experience with at least one stint at a top-tier management consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain), a bulge-bracket investment bank, or a similarly selective, high-rigor environment.
- Direct experience having led or personally driven a program, deal, or business line worth $50–100M+ in revenue, cost, or capital impact.
- Prior experience as a founder or founding team member of a startup (funded or bootstrapped, successful or not) is a strong plus.
- A track record of solving genuinely hard, ambiguous problems at some of the best companies in the world.
- Excellent written and verbal communication — you can distill complexity into a one-pager a founder can act on immediately.
- Sharp with data — numbers are your language; you can interpret financials, model scenarios, and derive insights quickly and accurately.
- High EQ and strong influence — kind and empathetic, but firm; teams trust you and senior leaders respect you.
- A fast learner who picks up new tools, industries, numbers, and problems at speed — what takes others two weeks, you do in two days.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- A real, named mandate — not a rotation, not a bench role — with your name on the outcome.
- Direct, daily exposure to how a ~$10B+ scale, founder-led business makes decisions, and a genuine seat at the table where those decisions get made.
- The resources and backing to build, scale, or transform something that matters, plus the pressure and visibility that comes with owning it.
- The opportunity to shape how a global company runs, and influence senior leaders across the business.
- A career-defining reference point: the thing you built, not the title you held.
If you're exceptional, apply.
If you want a comfortable job, this isn't for you.
If you want a job that challenges you, stretches you, and puts you in the arena — this is one of very few roles that offer this kind of exposure, speed, and influence.
