Job Title: General Manager Finance Business Partner - IT Function
Location: Bengaluru
Experience: 7–12 Years
Education: MBA / CA / CFA from Tier-1 Institutes with strong finance background.
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly analytical and business-oriented General Manager – FP&A who will partner closely with IT leadership and business stakeholders to provide financial insights that support strategic technology investments and decision-making. Will lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for IT functions, including tracking technology spend, project investments, and operational costs.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance Partnership
- Act as the primary finance partner to IT leadership, providing financial insights and strategic guidance on technology investments and cost management.
- Provide financial evaluation, scenario modeling, and ROI analysis for major IT initiatives, system implementations, and infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of manufacturing technology landscapes (ERP, MES/MOM, PLM, etc.) with the ability to translate technology initiatives into financial impact and strategic recommendations for IT leadership.
Financial Planning & Performance Management
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for the IT function.
- Monitor IT spending across infrastructure, cloud, software, cybersecurity, and digital initiatives.
- Conduct variance analysis and financial performance reviews to ensure adherence to budgets and strategic priorities.
Financial Reporting & Data Analytics
- Oversee the development and maintenance of financial dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI and Tableau.
- Ensure structured financial data models that enable accurate and scalable reporting across IT functions.
- Deliver actionable financial insights and performance metrics to senior leadership and executive management.
Automation & Process Optimization
- Drive the automation and standardization of IT financial reporting processes to enhance efficiency and transparency.
- Develop and implement automated financial reporting workflows and analytics solutions.
- Improve financial data governance and reporting frameworks within the IT organization.
Financial Modeling & Analysis
- Build and maintain advanced financial models for scenario planning, profitability analysis, and investment decisions.
- Conduct Build vs Buy analysis, ROI analysis, and strategic investment evaluations.
- Driving financial reporting excellence, structuring and automating financial data, building dashboards, and optimizing reporting processes
Must- have skillsets or experience:
- Experience working with manufacturing IT environments, including MES / MOM ecosystems, with the ability to understand system architecture, evaluate technology investments, and provide strategic financial guidance and recommendations to IT and manufacturing leadership.
- Strong in creating financial reports, data analytics, creating financial dashboards, process optimization, improvements, etc
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 7–12 years of experience in FP&A & strategic finance.
- MBA / CA / CFA from Tier-1 Institutes with strong finance background.
- Experience working closely with senior leadership or CXO teams
