Company Description EVOLT-X Kerala is the state’s first branded EV service center, focused on professional servicing, diagnostics, and technical solutions for electric two-wheelers. The company was established to address common issues faced by EV users, such as battery diagnostics, controller failures, and complex electrical troubleshooting. EVOLT-X offers advanced service solutions, particularly for Ola Electric scooters, including BMS resets, electrical system checks, and complete EV health inspections. With specialized EV expertise and a professional service infrastructure, the team is building a new standard for reliable, transparent, and technology-driven EV service in India. Role Description The General Manager will oversee daily operations at the EVOLT-X Kerala service center in Kozhikode, ensuring smooth, efficient, and customer-focused service delivery. This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for managing service teams, coordinating workshop schedules, and monitoring service quality and turnaround times. The role includes implementing operational standards, optimizing processes, managing inventory and vendor relationships, and ensuring safety and compliance across the facility. The General Manager will handle financial oversight such as budgeting, cost control, and basic reporting, while also tracking performance metrics and driving continuous improvement. In addition, this role will lead local marketing initiatives, support customer relationship management, mentor team members, and collaborate with leadership on growth plans and new service offerings.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in operations or service center management, preferably in automotive, EV, or related technical service environments.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, coaching, and performance management.
  • Solid understanding of basic finance and business operations, including budgeting, cost control, and KPI tracking.
  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate workshop activities, manage inventory, and maintain vendor and partner relationships.
  • Familiarity with EV technologies or automotive systems is highly desirable; willingness to learn EV-specific service operations is essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Comfortable using digital tools for scheduling, reporting, and communication; experience with service management software is a plus.
  • Ability to work on-site in Kozhikode on a full-time schedule, with flexibility to manage peak workloads when required.
