Join the inDrive Accounting Hub in India as a Senior GL Accountant specializing in the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle. This is a high-impact, individual contributor role designed for a technically proficient and commercially aware.
As a key member of our Global Shared Services Center (SSC), you will ensure the integrity of our financial data by managing the end-to-end accounting for expenses. You will serve as a vital bridge between global operations and financial reporting, maintaining a balance between operational excellence and strategic business partnership in a fast-paced, highly international environment.

Responsibilities

Accruals Management & Month-End Close
  • Own and manage the end-to-end accrual process across regions, ensuring completeness and accuracy of expense recognition.
  • Prepare, review, and post monthly accrual journal entries in line with applicable accounting standards.
  • Work closely with business, procurement, and FP&A teams to obtain reliable inputs and estimates for accruals.
  • Ensure timely reversal and validation of accruals in subsequent periods.
  • Perform variance analysis between actuals and accruals, highlighting key movements and risks.
Financial Control & Compliance
  • Ensure accruals are recorded in accordance with applicable accounting policies (US GAAP/Local GAAP).
  • Maintain adequate documentation and audit trail supporting all accrual entries.
  • Strengthen controls around accrual estimation, review, and approvals to ensure audit readiness.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required schedules and explanations.
Process Improvement & Reporting
  • Drive standardization and automation of accrual processes across entities.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accrual processes.
  • Prepare and analyze accrual trackers, dashboards, and reports for management review.
  • Identify gaps in current processes and proactively implement improvements to reduce manual dependencies and improve accuracy.
Stakeholder Management
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders across geographies to ensure timely submission of accrual inputs.
  • Act as a bridge between accounting, Financial controllers, FP&A, and business teams to resolve discrepancies and improve forecasting accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Professional Qualification: Must be a Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • Post-Qualification Experience: 4–5 years of experience in a global accounting environment or a Tier-1 Shared Services Center (SSC).
  • Big 4 experience strongly preferred.
  • Technical Expertise: 2–3 years of hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite is mandatory.
  • GAAP Knowledge: Proficiency in U.S. GAAP and local statutory reporting requirements.
  • Industry Context: Experience operating in a fast-paced, international environment (Tech or Hyper-growth startups preferred).
