Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Google Cloud Engineer (DevOps) to design, build, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Develop, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and infrastructure provisioning.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, availability, reliability, and security.

Collaborate with software engineers, QA, and security teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar.

Manage cloud cost optimization and efficient resource utilization.

Enforce security best practices including IAM, encryption, and compliance with industry standards.

Automate operational and maintenance tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.

Participate in on-call rotations to handle critical incidents and outages.

Document system configurations, processes, and best practices for operational excellence and compliance.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

3+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering roles.

Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as:

Compute Engine

Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)

Cloud Storage

Pub/Sub

Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Google Cloud Build.

Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager).

Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages.

Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Cloud Monitoring (Stackdriver), Prometheus, Grafana.

Good understanding of networking concepts, cloud security best practices, and cost management.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
