Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GCP Cloud Administrator with a solid foundation in Artificial Intelligence (AI) workflows to join our infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, securing, and maintaining our enterprise Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments. The ideal candidate will combine deep core infrastructure expertise (compute, networking, security) with the ability to support and optimize modern AI/ML workloads on the cloud.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Administration & Infrastructure: Provision, configure, and manage scalable GCP infrastructure including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and advanced networking architectures.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Architect and maintain repeatable cloud environments using Terraform to automate deployment pipelines.
• Networking & Security: Design secure VPCs, configure firewalls, manage load balancers, and implement strict identity and access controls using GCP IAM.
• System Maintenance: Oversee Linux/Unix systems administration, ensuring optimal OS performance, patching, and system reliability.
• Monitoring & Optimization: Implement robust monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to proactively identify performance bottlenecks and optimize cloud spend.
• Modern Workloads & CI/CD: Support containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE), and collaborate with development teams to optimize CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure all cloud deployments align with enterprise security frameworks, compliance standards, and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 6+ years of dedicated experience in IT infrastructure, with a heavy focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) administration.
• Core GCP Expertise: Proven hands-on experience with Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC & networking, and IAM & security.
• Automation: Strong proficiency with Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• OS Knowledge: Deep understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration and shell scripting.
• Containers & Orchestration: Basic to foundational knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• DevOps Culture: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices.
• Observability: Practical experience using cloud-native monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Google Cloud Observability/Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana).
• AI/ML Familiarity: Experience or strong understanding of administering cloud infrastructure tailored for AI/ML workloads (e.g., managing GPU clusters, AI notebooks, or Vertex AI environments).
