Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be a key contributor to the Purchase Intent squad, playing a pivotal role in the end-to-end development and delivery of features related to promotions, ads and reviews. Your responsibilities will include :

Feature Ownership and Development Leadership : Assume complete accountability for features, driving their end-to-end development from conceptualization through design, coding, testing, and deployment. Ensure the delivery of solutions that are of superior quality, scalable, and maintainable.
Architectural Contribution : Engage actively in design and architectural deliberations for both new features and system enhancements, leveraging technical expertise to devise robust and future-proof solutions.
Quality Assurance and Standards Enforcement : Mandate stringent code quality through the development of comprehensive and effective test cases and the execution of meticulous code reviews (PRs), verifying strict compliance with established coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.
Agile Framework Collaboration : Operate proficiently within an Agile/Scrum methodology, providing substantial contributions to all sprint ceremonies and consistently achieving defined sprint objectives in a timely manner.
Production System Stability and Support : Deliver prompt and efficacious support for issues encountered in the production environment, encompassing investigation, systematic troubleshooting, and resolution to uphold optimal system stability and performance.
Team and Process Adherence : Strictly adhere to all established team processes, coding standards, and directives issued by management, thereby ensuring consistency and alignment with broader organizational imperatives.

Will Possess

Essential Qualifications :

Java Experience : Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on, strong experience in Java development, demonstrating proficiency in core Java concepts and frameworks.
Spring Boot Expertise : Strong experience with the Spring Boot framework.
Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Principles : Strong understanding and practical application of OOP principles.
Microservices and APIs : Hands-on experience with Microservices, designing and implementing REST APIs, and working with JSON.
Database Knowledge : Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
E-commerce Domain Knowledge : Proven experience working in e-commerce or a related industry, with a solid understanding of its unique challenges and requirements.
Backend Expertise : Deep understanding of backend development principles, including API design, architectural patterns, and performance optimization.
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Proficiency : Strong knowledge of the entire SDLC, with practical experience in testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Desired Qualifications (Good To Have)

E-commerce Platform Experience : Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Commercetools.
Frontend Exposure : Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus.
Cloud Platform Experience : Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
