Role Description The Game Developer role at 3D Heroes is a full-time remote position focused on designing, programming, and implementing interactive game features across multiple platforms. Each day, the Game Developer collaborates with designers, artists, and project managers to translate game concepts into playable systems, write efficient and maintainable code, and ensure smooth integration of gameplay, UI, and visual assets. Responsibilities include building and iterating on core gameplay mechanics, optimizing performance, debugging and resolving technical issues, and contributing to technical documentation and best practices. The Game Developer is also expected to participate in code reviews, provide input on game design decisions, and support the continuous improvement of development pipelines and tools.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Game Programming and Gameplay Programming skills, with experience implementing mechanics, systems, and tools in modern game engines.
• Candidates should possess solid Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills, with proficiency in languages commonly used in game development (such as C#, C++, or similar).
• Candidates should possess Game Design skills, including the ability to collaborate on feature concepts, balancing, and player experience improvements.
• Experience with one or more game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) and familiarity with asset integration, scripting, and build pipelines.
• Understanding of performance optimization, debugging techniques, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team environment and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical collaborators.
• Relevant educational background in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with AR/VR, simulations, or training/educational games is a plus.
