Overview of Role The primary objective of this role is to lead the end-to-end development of a new web application. This includes designing and implementing the complete user interface, such as forms, dashboards, and a chat feature, using React. On the back end, the role involves developing serverless services in Python through Cloud Run or Cloud Functions to manage all application logic and data processing. Additionally, the position requires integrating Vertex AI models and utilizing BigQuery with SQL queries to create dynamic, data-driven dashboards that enhance the overall functionality of the application. Responsibilities Development of the new HSEQ web app from start to finish, running on Google Cloud. Build the entire front-end in React (forms, dashboards, and a chat feature). Write the serverless back-end services in Python (using Cloud Run/Functions) to handle all the logic and data. Hook the app up to Vertex AI models and write SQL queries for BigQuery to pull data for the dashboards. Qualifications A Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related or equivalent work experience required. Strong skills in React (for the front-end) and Python (for the back-end). Solid experience with SQL and BigQuery. Good knowledge of Google Cloud (GCP), especially serverless tools.
