Full Stack Engineer - NodeJS and RoR

Role Description The Full Stack Engineer – NodeJS and RoR will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications that support SchoolMitra’s integrated school management platform. This full-time, on-site role in Gurugram involves implementing robust back-end services in NodeJS and Ruby on Rails, building efficient APIs, and integrating them with responsive front-end interfaces. The engineer will collaborate closely with product, design, and QA teams to translate requirements into clean, maintainable code, optimize performance, and ensure high reliability and security. Daily responsibilities include reviewing code, troubleshooting issues, improving existing features, and participating in architecture and technical decision-making. The role also involves contributing to deployment processes and documentation to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including experience with NodeJS and Ruby on Rails.
• Hands-on Front-End Development skills using modern JavaScript frameworks and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
• Solid understanding of Software Development principles and Full-Stack Development practices.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, API design, and integration.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, or deployment tools is beneficial.
• Ability to write clean, testable code and work with automated testing frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced product environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
