Our challenge

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Full Stack Application Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Golang to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building robust backend services, developing responsive front-end components, and contributing to cloud-native, high-performance application architectures.


Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Pittsburgh, PA is $110k - $120k/year & benefits (see below).


The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy full stack applications using Java and modern web technologies.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot.
  • Develop and implement Microservices architecture for scalable and distributed systems.
  • Write efficient, reusable, and reliable code in Golang for performance-critical services and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, architects, QA, and DevOps engineers.
  • Integrate front-end interfaces with backend services and databases.
  • Participate in application design, code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Ensure application security, scalability, and maintainability through best coding practices.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud deployment environments.
  • Support production systems, resolve issues, and continuously improve application performance.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or Java Application Developer.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot.
  • Solid understanding of Microservices architecture and distributed systems.
  • Experience in Golang development.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js.
  • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and API integration.
  • Strong knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar.
  • Experience in unit testing, integration testing, and test automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with secure coding standards and authentication/authorization frameworks.
