Position Overview You are one of the first engineers and act as a founding architect of the platform. You design and ship end-to-end features, collaborate daily with the founders, and influence both technical stack and team culture. Your code sets the standard for how modern accounting firms automate complex workflows with AI. Role & Responsibilities Own the design and development of critical features across the frontend and backend. Collaborate directly with founders, product, and business teams to rapidly build, test, and launch AI-driven solutions. Build full-stack web applications using Python, a modern web framework, and React. Model and optimise relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. Design, build, and consume scalable RESTful APIs. Solve complex problems in the B2B finance domain and develop deep empathy for user workflows. Must have Criteria 1?3 years of experience building full-stack web applications. Strong Python skills and experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI. Proficiency with React or a similar modern JavaScript framework. Ability to model and optimise relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL). Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles. Experience building and consuming scalable RESTful APIs. Clear communication and a user-first mindset in a fast-paced startup environment. Pride in ownership and commitment to clean, secure, performant code. Enthusiasm for continuous learning and leveraging AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot. Nice to Have Keen eye for user experience and responsive design. Experience building AI agents or working on prompt engineering. Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. Contributions to open-source projects or a personal GitHub portfolio.
