Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai for a Full Stack Engineer. The individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining both the front-end and back-end systems of CollabKit's platform. Daily tasks include analyzing technical requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing features, troubleshooting and debugging issues, and optimizing platform performance to deliver seamless user experiences.

We’re hiring Full Stack Engineers with 2+ years of hands-on experience in Next.js, Express.js, and PostgreSQL. If you enjoy building real products, solving meaningful problems, and want to grow fast in a startup environment, you’ll feel at home here.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full-stack features using Next.js, Express.js, PostgreSQL
• Develop clean, modular components and scalable backend APIs
• Design database schemas, write optimized SQL queries, and handle migrations
• Integrate third-party APIs and internal services
• Debug issues across frontend, backend, and database layers
• Collaborate directly with the founder and senior developers in a fast-moving team
• Take ownership and ship features with quality and speed

Skills Required

• Strong understanding of React/Next.js, SSR, routing, API routes
• Solid backend experience in Express.js
• Strong in PostgreSQL (joins, indexing, performance basics)
• Familiar with Git, GitHub, branching, PRs
• Good understanding of API integration
• Ability to work independently and deliver results

Qualifications

• Expertise in Front-End Development and proficiency in technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Strong skills in Back-End Web Development, including working knowledge of server-side frameworks and database management
• Comprehensive experience in Software Development and Full-Stack Development
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a team-oriented environment
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with agile development methodologies is a plus
• Passion for building innovative solutions in a fast-paced collaborative workspace
