Full Stack Engineer
Actively Reviewing the ApplicationsKin Health
Job Description
Kin Health is an early-stage healthcare technology company founded by the co-founders of GoodRx. After building GoodRx into a public company that has helped tens of millions of Americans save billions on prescriptions, the team is now focused on a new mission: improving how people navigate and experience healthcare.
Kin is building tools that sit at the center of the healthcare journey — helping patients, clinicians, and families better understand, coordinate, and act on care.
The company launched in late 2025 and is preparing for a broader public rollout. The team is intentionally small, highly technical, and operates with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
The Product
Kin’s core product is an AI-powered healthcare platform designed to:
- Capture and structure conversations between patients and providers
- Generate actionable summaries and next steps
- Support care coordination across “care circles” (patients, families, clinicians)
The product is mobile-first, supported by robust backend systems, data pipelines, and AI infrastructure.
The Role
We’re looking for a full-stack software engineer (3–5 years experience) who wants to build real product end-to-end in a fast-moving, early-stage environment.
This is a high-ownership, highly hands-on role. You’ll work across frontend, backend, and infrastructure — shipping quickly and learning directly from experienced founders and engineers.
The Work
- Write production code across frontend, backend, and APIs
- Contribute to systems end-to-end, including deployment and reliability
- Work primarily in TypeScript across the stack
- Build and iterate on AI-powered features, including LLM-driven workflows
- Collaborate closely with founders and early engineers on product and technical decisions
- Make pragmatic tradeoffs between speed and scalability
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience shipping production software
- Comfortable working across the stack (frontend, backend, cloud)
- Strong in TypeScript, with experience in:
- React and/or React Native
- Node.js
- Modern API design
- Exposure to AI/LLM-driven features or data-intensive applications
- High ownership mindset — you take initiative and follow through
- Interested in building in healthcare, even if you’re new to the domain
- Thrive in small, fast-moving teams with minimal structure
You Will
- Work directly with founders who have built and scaled one of the most successful consumer healthcare companies in the U.S.
- Join at an early stage where your work materially shapes the product
- Gain broad technical exposure across product, infrastructure, and AI
- Have strong mentorship and rapid growth trajectory
Team & Environment
- Small, high-caliber, in-person team (LA / Westside)
- Hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, typically Tues–Thurs)
- Fast-paced but thoughtful — low bureaucracy, high trust
- Emphasis on building meaningful products, not just shipping features
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience)
- Meaningful early-stage equity
- Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
- Flexible schedule outside of core in-office days
