Overview of Role You will be highly proficient in building modern, interactive, and high-performance interfaces using React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript. This includes full ownership of the client-side code, ensuring responsiveness and quality with HTML5 and CSS3. A secondary, but necessary, function involves maintaining and eventually modernizing user-facing components built withlegacy technologies like JSP and Struts. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain high-quality user interfaces using React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3, focusing on performance and user experience. Implement robust and scalable back-end services using Java, Spring Boot, and JPA/Hibernate, defining clear RESTful APIs for client consumption. Implement secure system integrations by enforcing authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth2), applying API security best practices, and managing asynchronous communication via RabbitMQ or Kafka. Design database schemas and write optimized SQL queries for relational databases (Oracle, MySQL), managing the data layer via JPA/Hibernate. Utilize Git for version control and actively contribute to the CI/CD and DevOps pipelines by leveraging Docker for containerization and deployment automation. Use logging and monitoring tools to troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring application reliability. Support and refactor existing legacy components(JSP and Struts) while proactively planning and executing strategies for their full modernization into the Microservices Architecture. Qualifications 4+ years of experience in front end technology- React.js Strong proficiency in React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3. Experience with JSP and Struts. Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL). Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker). Understanding of DevOps pipelines . Experience with Microservices Architecture. Understanding and experience of authentication & authorization (JWT, OAuth2). Exposure to message queues ( RabbitMQ is preferred but Kafka acceptable). Familiarity with API security best practices. Experience with logging, monitoring, and production support. Experience with agile development practices. 66degrees is an Equal Opportunity employer.
