Front End Developer

360training is seeking a Front End Developer to join our growing team in Heredia, Costa Rica. The Front End Developer must be motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. Front-end Developer will be responsible for ensuring the alignment of web design and user experience requirements, optimizing web pages for maximum efficiency, designing web-related content such as user-interactive activities, web-based simulations and games. Regardless of web designing, the candidate must have knowledge on editing audios, photos, videos and have a grip on storytelling/creating ideas on their own. Command over English language and ability to edit content as per needs, is a plus.

Responsibilities (must-haves)

• Convert UI/UX designs into semantic, responsive HTML/CSS and modular JavaScript.
• Build interactive course activities and lightweight web-based simulations/games for HTML-based courses.
• Create and optimize assets (images, sprites, audio clips) for fast load and scalability.
• Ensure technical feasibility of designs, maintain brand consistency, and prioritize UX.
• Produce reusable frontend components and clean, well-documented code.
• Perform cross-browser testing, debugging, and responsive testing on desktop and mobile.
• Implement basic accessibility best practices (keyboard navigation, alt text, readable contrast).
• Edit multimedia at a basic level (trim/normalize/export audio, crop/resize images).
• Collaborate with content authors, QA, and multimedia teammates to convert scripts into interactive experiences.
• Accept and incorporate feedback; iterate quickly on HTML builds.
  
  
  

Responsibilities (nice-to-have / Preferred)

• Assist with integrating SCORM/packaging or coordinating with SCORM team.
• Help define and improve course build processes and tooling.
• Contribute small back-end touches (templating or minor data handling) when necessary.
  
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years practical frontend experience (3+ preferred).
• Strong hands-on experience: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), jQuery where applicable.
• Familiarity with responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization.
• Comfortable with image/audio basic editing (examples: Photoshop, Audacity/Adobe).
• Experience with browser debugging and developer tools.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Portfolio or work samples showing interactive pages, course activities, or games.
  
  
  

Preferred Skills (will Set Candidate Apart)

• Git and modern dev workflows (npm/yarn, build tools).
• Experience or exposure to React.
• Familiarity with TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Astro Js.
• Basic knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and testing.
• Experience with animation libraries.
• Experience with exporting/packaging SCORM assets or familiarity with Rise360.
