Position Title: Front Desk Manager – Luxury Salon (Bhubaneswar)

Location: Patia, Bhubaneswar, Odisha

Employment Type: Full‑time

Role Purpose

The Front Desk Manager will be responsible for delivering a high‑quality client experience at a new luxury hair and beauty salon in Bhubaneswar. Partnering with global brands Kérastase and Skeyndor, the role will ensure efficient front‑office operations, accurate bookings and billing, and a welcoming environment for all clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients at the reception, maintaining a courteous and professional demeanour at all times.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, rescheduling, and cancellations across phone, digital platforms, and walk‑ins.
  • Coordinate with salon teams (hair, skin, nails) to optimise chair utilisation and minimise client waiting time.
  • Oversee billing and payment processing, ensuring accuracy in POS entries, cash handling, UPI/card transactions, and daily reconciliation.
  • Maintain and update client profiles, service history, and membership records in the salon management system.
  • Support retail sales at the front desk by presenting Kérastase and Skeyndor products and informing clients about offers and recommendations.
  • Handle client queries and feedback; manage service recovery in alignment with brand standards and escalate issues where required.
  • Ensure upkeep of reception, waiting lounge, and retail displays, in line with luxury brand guidelines.
  • Provide support to marketing and events (soft launch, grand launch, promotional days) from a front‑office perspective.
  • Prepare and share basic operational reports (daily footfall, bookings, revenue at front desk, client feedback trends).
Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

  • Graduate in any discipline; hospitality or commerce preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in front office / customer service in salons, spas, hotels, or premium retail environments.

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with customer management / salon software and basic MS Office (Excel, Word).
  • Comfortable working with digital tools – email, WhatsApp Business, POS systems.

Behavioural Competencies

  • Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Odia/Hindi will be an advantage.
  • High customer orientation and ability to build rapport with diverse client segments.
  • Attention to detail and high standards of personal grooming.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and maintain composure during peak hours.
  • Integrity and reliability in handling client information and financial transactions.
