Freelance Data Scientist (Supply Chain)

Flexing It has partnered with Our client, a leading management consulting firm is looking for a Data Scientist with strong experience in Procurement and Supply Chain within the Pharma or Consumer Goods industry. The role focuses on developing AI/ML solutions to improve forecasting, sourcing, supplier performance, and end-to-end supply chain efficiency. Key Responsibilities Build predictive and prescriptive ML models for demand forecasting, supplier risk, inventory optimization, and cost reduction. Analyze procurement spend, category performance, and supply chain KPIs to identify improvement opportunities. Partner with procurement, supply chain, finance, and digital teams to translate business needs into scalable AI solutions. Develop dashboards, automate insights, and deploy models into production environments. Integrate data from ERP/procurement systems and ensure model accuracy, governance, and usability. Skills Required Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, ML frameworks, forecasting, optimization, and NLP/GenAI. Experience with procurement/supply chain analytics in Pharma or Consumer Goods. Knowledge of ERP and procurement tools (SAP, Ariba, Coupa, etc.). Strong business acumen, data storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Experience deploying AI/ML models in real-world environments.
