Job Description
Our client, a leading FMCG Organization is looking to engage with Transition Manager who will manage transitions which will improve, standardize, and ultimately relocate Finance Services activities from Divisions / Segments to MGSF and ensure alignment to the Organizations Operating Model. This will include taking total accountability for planning, structuring, leading and executing transition projects and programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end finance transition projects from planning to implementation.
- Conduct due diligence to assess transition feasibility and business readiness.
- Develop transition strategies, project plans, and execution roadmaps.
- Prepare business cases and solution proposals for shared services migration.
- Identify process improvement, standardization, and automation opportunities.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
- Drive stakeholder engagement and executive communication throughout transitions.
- Develop and execute transition risk mitigation and contingency plans.
- Perform transition readiness assessments and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead organizational change management, including communication and training plans.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external service providers to ensure seamless transitions.
- Oversee project governance, documentation, and compliance throughout the transition lifecycle.
- Monitor transition progress, resolve issues proactively, and ensure successful handover to operations.
- Deliver high-quality, cost-effective transitions while maintaining service continuity and customer satisfaction.
Skills Required
- Minimum 5 years in transition management
- 5+ years’ experience in shared services
- Understanding and preferably experience of due diligence activities
- Awareness of enabling technologies to drive process improvement and ability to make a compelling case for change based on these technologies
- Experience in preparing proposals for solutions and presenting to customers
- Experience in preparing and presenting business cases
- Experience in leading transition projects and handling the related sensitivities
- Degree level education, preferably with post graduate qualification; domain qualification eg accounting, HR etc - knowledge in order to apply relevant principles to transition related activities
- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent preferred, but not essential
