Job Description

This role focuses on developing and deploying a machine learning model to classify sensor signals for applications in the steel industry. The initial phase will involve building a basic autoencoder, with opportunities to iterate and enhance the model as the project evolves. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the model integrates seamlessly into a C# application for deployment at client facilities. This is a remote position open to candidates based in the United States, offering the chance to contribute to impactful industrial solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and train a machine learning model (initially an autoencoder) for signal classification
Analyze sensor data and determine optimal preprocessing and feature engineering techniques
Collaborate on model evaluation, validation, and iterative improvement based on project needs
Integrate the trained model into an existing C# application for deployment at customer sites
Document model architecture, training process, and deployment steps for future reference
Communicate technical progress and challenges to project stakeholders

Skills And Requirements

Proven experience in machine learning model development, particularly with autoencoders or similar architectures
Strong proficiency in Python and relevant ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation
Familiarity with deploying ML models in production environments, especially within C# applications
Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality solutions within project timelines
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Must be based in the United States; remote work is acceptable
