Maple Waffle is looking for a Franchise Development Manager to drive franchise expansion by identifying, qualifying, and closing new franchise partners. The role will own the full franchise sales pipeline, from lead generation to agreement closure, and work closely with operations, legal, and finance teams to launch new outlets.+1

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate new franchise leads through outreach, referrals, networking, events, and digital channels.
  • Qualify prospective franchisees based on investment capacity, location fit, business experience, and brand alignment.
  • Present the franchise opportunity, investment model, ROI potential, and store formats to prospects.
  • Manage the franchise sales pipeline from first contact to agreement signing.
  • Coordinate site discussions, basic feasibility checks, and support documentation.
  • Work with legal and operations teams on franchise agreements, onboarding, and launch planning.
  • Maintain CRM records, weekly pipeline updates, and performance reports.
  • Support market expansion strategy and identify high-potential territories for growth.+2
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, hospitality, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in franchise sales, business development, QSR, cafe, or retail expansion.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to close B2B deals and manage a sales funnel.
  • Comfortable with travel and field meetings as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in F&B franchising or multi-unit expansion.
  • Understanding of franchise legal docs, store economics, and territory planning.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, Excel, and pipeline tracking.
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and relationship-focused.+2
Compensation
  • Commission per successful franchise sale/closure. The more franchise partners you close, the more you earn.

  • Number of qualified franchise leads generated.
  • Conversion rate from lead to closure.
  • Number of franchise agreements signed.
  • Territory coverage and expansion targets achieved.
  • Time taken to move prospects through the sales cycle.
