Role Description The Forex Officer role at Muthoot FinCorp Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in the Kanyakumari district. The role involves handling day-to-day foreign exchange operations, including processing currency transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines, and maintaining accurate records and documentation. The Forex Officer will provide customer service related to forex products, explain rates and charges, and support customers in choosing appropriate services. The individual will monitor market trends, assist in preparing basic financial and transactional reports, and coordinate with branch and regional teams to ensure smooth operations. The role also includes verifying forex-related entries, supporting audits, and contributing to process improvements for efficiency and risk control.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Finance knowledge, including familiarity with foreign exchange products and basic banking operations.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting to accurately record, review, and support forex-related transactions.
  • Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify discrepancies, and support decision-making in forex operations.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to interact with customers, colleagues, and regulatory stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Attention to detail, numerical aptitude, and integrity in handling financial transactions are essential.
  • Prior experience in forex, banking, or financial services operations is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work in a branch environment, manage multiple tasks, and adhere to regulatory and company policies.
