Join us as a Financing Risk Lead – VP, where you will shape and advance the core capabilities of the Prime Services Front Office Risk Platform (Liquid Financing). You will contribute to a dynamic and expanding portfolio of risk initiatives, partnering with global teams to deliver high‑quality solutions across intraday risk, financing analytics, market intelligence, and controls.
This role requires a strong technical and delivery‑oriented leader—someone who brings hands‑on problem‑solving ability, domain awareness, and the capability to drive complex projects end‑to‑end for the Liquid Financing business.

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
Accountabilities
This role requires a strong technical and delivery‑oriented leader—someone who brings hands‑on problem‑solving ability, domain awareness, and the capability to drive complex projects end‑to‑end for the Liquid Financing business.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience with:
- Bringing a strong technical foundation with hands‑on development experience in any programming language (Java experience is beneficial but not mandatory).
- Demonstrated expertise in Python and SQL, including data analysis, workflow automation, and building clean, efficient scripts.
- Driving projects and initiatives independently, with a track record of converting ideas into deliverables through strong ownership, planning, and execution.
- Working in banking, capital markets, or financial institutions—mandatory for external candidates—with exposure to trades, pricing, or risk concepts.
- Applying or learning risk domain knowledge (e.g., interest‑rate risk, exposure metrics, market risk analytics); awareness is helpful but can be gained on the job.
- Strong technical proficiency in Python, SQL, and analytical tooling.
- Ability to lead a small team, mentor developers, and drive both business and technology outcomes.
- A proactive ownership mindset—demonstrating initiative, problem‑solving, and the ability to lead projects beyond people management responsibilities.
- Experience in financial institutions or fintech, with baseline understanding of markets, trades, lifecycle events, or financing workflows.
- Leadership qualities such as stakeholder management, decision‑making, structured communication, and delivery excellence in high‑pace environments.

Accountabilities
- Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
- Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
- Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
- Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
- To contribute or set strategy, drive requirements and make recommendations for change. Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/ processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies/procedures..
