Financial Modelling (FM) Trainer – Freelance (Remote)

Location: Remote

Compensation: Upto ₹1,500 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Modelling Trainer to deliver high-quality,

practical training to aspiring finance professionals. This is a freelance, remote

opportunity, ideal for candidates who can dedicate weekend hours for training.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging financial modelling training sessions on topics including:

1. 3-Statement Model (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)

2. Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) Model

3. Merger & Acquisition (M&A) Model

4. Leveraged Buyout (LBO) Model

5. Comparable Company Analysis (Trading Comps)

6. Precedent Transaction Analysis

7. Project Finance Models

8. Scenario & Sensitivity Analysis Models

9. 13 Week Cash Flow Model

10.Private Equity Return Model

• Teach and guide learners in building practical financial models.

• Develop and update training materials, case studies, and real-time project

examples.

• Mentor students on live projects, assignments, and case-based learning.

• Conduct doubt-clearing sessions and provide guidance to achieve program

outcomes.

• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.

• Stay updated with industry practices, tools, and methodologies in financial

modelling, valuation, and corporate finance.

• Collaborate with the academic and program management team for a smooth

learning experience.

• Ensure confidentiality and avoid training students from competitor

organizations.

• Highlight your association with IIM Skills professionally on LinkedIn.Requirements

• Ability to deliver structured online training sessions in English.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in finance, with strong expertise in financial

modelling.

• Prior training or teaching experience in finance is highly desirable.

• Currently working in finance is preferred, but candidates not currently employed

will also be considered.

• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Professional qualifications such as CA, CFA, ACCA, FRM, CPA, or MBA

(Finance) are preferred but not mandatory.

• Expertise in Excel, Financial Modelling, Valuation (DCF, Comparable,

Precedent Transactions), M&A, and Investment Banking concepts.

• Ability to simplify complex financial concepts for diverse learners.

Work Schedule

• Weekend sessions only (Average 5 hours per weekend – Saturday & Sunday).

• Fully remote.
